Madouri is an island in the Ionian Sea which, according to the 2011 census, is uninhabited. It is located opposite Nydri in Lefkada and belongs to the Municipality of Ellomenos in Lefkada. It belongs to the complex of the Televoid Islands and to the complex of the Princes’ Islands. The island is owned by the Valaoritis family, where its mansion dominates. There is also a church, owned by Valaoritis, Gothic type. The poet Aristotelis Valaoritis grew up and lived there, while today the island of Madouri is owned by Nanos Valaoritis and Eleni Karapanagiotis, the poet’s great-grandchildren.
